The training and placement (T&P) cell functions with the objective of providing placement related training and guidance to all the students of the college. The cell has the impressive record of having enabled a large number of students to gain employment in reputed firms through direct placement. The T&P cell constantly monitors emerging trends in industry and fine tunes the learning process to match the requirements of the corporate world. Ably led by a Training & Placement Officer, assisted by a dedicated team of staff, the cell organizes regular training programmes for students of all classes.
The T&P cell exposes students to the widest possible range of industry, from small scale enterprises with a work force of around 20 persons to large ones employing over 20,000, through various programmes such as industry visits, inplant training, projects, etc. Students have plenty of opportunities to meet the top officials of HR, production, projects and other allied areas of industry in the college campus on a regular basis. CSICE is an institutional member of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Southern Region and this makes it possible for the college to enjoy a truly enhanced industry- institution relationship. For students who prefer to take up a career in the Armed Forces, officers from nearby Army establishments conduct seminars, giving them comprehensive information on the various entry schemes and career prospects. The Armed Forces Selection Committee conducts on-campus shortlisting for pre-final and final-year students under the University Entry Scheme. The cell also organizes special seminars wherein educational consultants interact with students who wish to pursue higher education abroad. Such seminars provide students with wide ranging information on relevant courses of study offered by foreign universities, together with details of basic requirements, fee structure, scholarships, placement opportunities, immigration and other allied aspects. |
