Vice Principal
Vice Principal Prof.T.V.Christy who is also the Professor and Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, holds a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Thermal Power Engineering.Currently,he is pursing his Doctoral Research(Ph.D.) in Manufacturing Engineering with focus on an Emerging Technology viz, friction stir welding of Aluminium metal matrix composites.He joined CSICE in August, 2003.Having started his teaching career in the year 1987, he has put in a total experience of over 22 years in Engineering teaching, both at the U.G and P.G levels and administration. He has served as the Dean, Engineering Studies, Management Institute, Bahrain, The Arabian Gulf. He has published technical papers in various Journals and International Conferences. He is a lifetime member of ISTE ( Indian Society for Technical Education ). Presently, as the co-investigator, he is working on a research project, titled Friction Stir Welding of Al composites for Marine Applications. The project is sponsored by the Naval Research Board, New Delhi.His areas of research interest include Manufacturing Engineering, Friction Stir Welding and Composites. |
