NCC

The NCC in our college was started on 17th July 2002. Initially our NCC included only the boys unit. It was formally inaugurated by Col.M.Ramachandran, S.M.Commander NCC GPHO, and Coimbatore on 26th August 2002. The enrollment of the cadets takes place every year for the fresher accompanied by an introduction to NCC given by the Student President and the Officers in charge.

Later the unit for girls also started in October 2004. Since then we have maintained strength of hundred cadets (50 girls and 50 boys). The NCC is headed by two officers namely Lt.V.Prakash and Ms.Gomathi Vanitha (CTO).

This year our cadets attended the All India Trekking Expedition at T2 Hanger Naval Base, Cochin. Four cadets have cleared the C certificate. 18 have cleared the B certificate and four have appeared for the C certificate.

Our cadets have also excelled at the firing competition held at Riffle Range, Laid law Memorial. The NCC has always excelled in the past with its enthusiastic cadets and we will continue to excel in all walks in the near future.
